While most visualisations produced for the ‘new cryptogam’ textbook are true illustrations, there was also a task to compile the historical concepts of the clade Stramenopiles (heterokonts) into a graphical overview. Some icons I created for the larger tree of life could be used as miniatures for these diatoms to seaweed brown algae.
