same approach with a dicynodont therapsid

Moradisaurus is a giant but incompletely known captorhinid found in the younger half of the Permian. The project, which I completed in far too little time, was about a Late Permian trackmaker assemblage. Dealing with Moradisaurus was difficult and once again depending on newly done scientific reconstructions. The composition in the centre is the best outcome of a larger image, here of course in an early stage. The odd proportions of Moradisaurus, a mid-sized herbivore with multiple tooth-rows, were hard to estimate in different angles. In order to combine several individuals based on the same proportions, I used a maquette with separated upper ad lower jaw, dominant teeth and rough tissue. Each head study reproduces a photograph of the same prototype.
