Dimetrodon model pelycosaur Sphenacodontidae sculpting

There is no known skull material of early juvenile Dimetrodon-type pelycosaurs. Using data from the well-known Palaeohatteria and a few baby therapsids, it was possible to reconstruct the skeletal proportions of the very individual that was planned to be shown as a life-size model. It would have been easy to keep the mouth closed, to hide the unknown dentition and forget about the geometry of jaw closure. After all, it is much more informative and attractive to take this challenge. This is why even tiny palatal denticles were included.

For technical reasons, the entire model will be repeated. But as usual, we are almost the only ones who notice the shortcomings. The head is fine as is, almost cute, as long as it doesn't actually bite.
