Uncaring Parents? – The treatment of offspring in our early ancestors

That dinosaurs could be caring parents has got around. In some cases, however, expectations of the social behaviour of extinct tetrapods are exaggerated, sometimes even in research. Now there is a new hypothesis on how, when and why family care may have evolved. Which of our forebears passed on this important piece of being human is shown here with new research findings.
